(For norsk mønster: Se forrige bloggpost!)

Welkome back to Heklepiken.com (Crochet Girl)! Due to some positive changes in life, I had to take a brief «vacation» from my blog, but I’ve been crocheting a lot, and planning patterns for this winter and spring. You have a lot of fun to look forward to!

These last weeks I’ve been in a Valentine-mood. I wanted to make a cute Valentine Teddy, but felt a bit insecure about making a pattern out of my work for my readers. I think it went quite well, and I hope you understand my pattern.

The Teddy turned out to be a little Lady, maybe I shall call her Lady Teddy? I think she looks so cute sitting in this classy mirror-corner that my boyfriend has in his hall. I think she is planning to spend the Valentine weekend on the table. I just have to show you som pictures from the hall, I think it’s very classic. And of corse, I made the runner.

Tiny hearts for the feet

I wanted to make some cute details for the teddy and made heart paws for the feet. Below you’ll find a link that will take you to an English tutorial.

Make two hearts.

Heart for the belly

If you want a heart for the teddys belly, you can visit this page, Little Birdie secrets:

Pink paw for the hands

Make two paws.28vb

  1. 6 sc in magic ring. 6 st
  2. 2 sc in each st. 12 st

Cut the yarn and leave a tail for assembling.

Butterfly-bow

I found a video-tutorial on YouTube for how to make a small butterfly. I liked it so much that I decided to make a bow out of it.

Assembling

15vb

If small children are going to play with the teddy, make sure to sew all the parts carefully together. If this is a gift for someone special, you can use a glue gun to attach the small parts.

Start attaching the head and the body, now she looks like a mushroom 😀

16vb

  1. Squeeze the top of the leg to make it a bit flat, this makes it easer to make the leg point forward.
  2. I wanted the teddy to sit so both the legs and the arms are pointing forward.
  3. Turn the teddy upside down, this makes it ease to see that the legs are in the right position.

Attach the arms just above the legs. When you sew the ears to the head, make sure not to attach them to high, this will make her look like a mouse.

26vb

Use pink yarn for the snout, then switch to brown for the nose and the mouth.

Attach the tiny hearts to the feet, and the paws to the hands. Then it’s time to sew the tail to the body.

Eyes

I used some scrap yarn for the eyes. Sandnes Duo for the eye and Solberg Fiol for the eyelashes.

Finally i sew the eyelashes to the eyes and attached the butterfly to the head.

This is how she turned out from the side and from behind.

She is very small and fits in my hand.

Have fun and keep those hooks working!
