This year we have a very late spring, its stil snowing on top of the mountains and I’m doing all I can to get a summer-feeling. I’ve been making a summer set for my kitchen with a pair of potholders, a pink kitchen towel and a dishcloth.
Matching potholders
Do you remember my spring green potholders? I think my pink towel goes very well with the potholders. I even made a pink heart to pick up the color from the towel 🙂 In fact I liked the pink color so much I made two towels and gave one of them to my mother for mothers day.
Tulip pattern
I chose this pattern because it looks a bit like c2c (corner to corner), but I crocheted the towel in rows. Later I will blog about a kitchen cloth made from the c2c-technique, and I think it goes nicely with my towel. I’m not sure, but I think the pattern is called tulip pattern.

If you wish to make a wider towel, make sure that the numbers of stitches are dividable with 4. You must also add 5 ekstra chain stitches.

Make the towel as long as your wish. You can also make a picot edging and a heart.
Edging on top
On top of the towel the edge is uneven because of the tulip pattern. I made chain stitches to make an even edge, this makes it easy to make the picot edging.

Heart
I think that adding a heart gives the towel a cute touch, follow the link and you’ll find an American video explaining how to make a heart. Good luck!
